UCLA defeated Michigan State 88-84 in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals despite losing star Tyler Bilodeau to a right knee injury. Donovan Dent had 23 points and 12 assists while Trent Perry added 22 points. The Bruins built a 15-point lead in the second half and withstood several late pushes from the Spartans to advance to the semifinals.

Bilodeau suffered the noncontact injury when his leg buckled while defending Cooper late in the first half. The team's leading scorer and rebounder made both his shots and had 5 points in just 10 minutes before exiting. UCLA maintained their composure down the stretch, with Perry sealing the win with two free throws after Michigan State cut the deficit to two points.

Michigan State's Jeremy Fears Jr. had 21 points and 13 assists in a losing effort. The victory gives UCLA momentum heading into their semifinal matchup with No. 18 Purdue, which defeated Nebraska 74-58 earlier. Bilodeau's status for the next game remains uncertain after the concerning noncontact injury that occurred away from the ball.
