ESPN has updated its boys' player rankings for the SC Next classes of 2027, 2028 and 2029 following a summer of live scouting and film study. Florida native Cayden Daughtry surged into the top five of the 2027 SC Next 100 after consistent, impactful performances.

Beckham Black ranks No. 1 overall after a dominant year, averaging eight assists and just one turnover for the gold medal-winning Team USA at the FIBA U17 World Cup. He improved his 3-point shooting from 28% to 36% this summer. Demarcus Henry sits at No. 2, having led AZ Compass to a top-five finish and finished third in the Nike EYBL in rebounding at 9.2 RPG.

At No. 3, C.J. Rosser brings a 7-3 wingspan and averaged 16.4 points and 2.4 blocks in under 20 minutes per game. Daughtry, at No. 4, averaged 28 points in EYBL play and won the Nike Peach Jam championship MVP. A.J. Williams, formerly No. 1 in the 2028 class, reclassified up to 2027 and rounds out the top five.
