Tiger Woods told authorities he was looking down at his cell phone and changing the radio station in his SUV before a rollover crash on Jupiter Island, Florida, last week. The 50-year-old golf legend was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said Woods' breathalyzer test showed no alcohol.

Deputies observed Woods "sweating profusely" with "lethargic and slow" movement during the investigation. He refused a urinalysis test for drugs and admitted taking prescription pills earlier that morning. Deputies found two hydrocodone pills in his left pants pocket. Woods cited his medical history of seven back surgeries and over 20 operations on his right leg as reasons for difficulty performing field sobriety exercises.

During field sobriety tests, Woods continuously moved his head while following a pen and failed to make contact with his hands while counting. Deputy Tatiana Levenar noted his eyes were "bloodshot and glassy" with "extremely dilated" pupils after he removed his sunglasses. Woods was transported to Cleveland Clinic ER South but refused medical treatment before being released on $1,000 bond. Neither Woods nor the PGA Tour had publicly commented on the arrest as of Tuesday morning.
