Medvedev, who won the tournament, is staying at a friend's apartment while the ATP provides accommodations at official hotels. The organization emphasized that the health, safety, and wellbeing of players, staff, and tournament personnel remains their top priority as they work to facilitate safe departures.

Beyond tennis, the conflict has affected multiple sports. England and Pakistan's men's developmental cricket teams were in the UAE when their scheduled match was canceled. Youth basketball players faced similar issues when a EuroLeague tournament was scrapped. The disruption extends to soccer, with Asian Champions League games and the Qatari league suspended, while Formula 1 officials prioritize safety as they assess upcoming races in the region.
