NCAA tournament betting is projected to reach $3.3 billion in 2026, according to the American Gaming Association's latest estimate. This figure represents a 6% year-over-year increase and marks a 54% surge over the past three years, based on data from state gaming regulators.

The AGA's estimate focuses on legal sportsbooks across 40 states and Washington D.C., excluding prediction markets and office bracket pools. For context, the $3.3 billion figure nearly doubles the amount wagered on Super Bowl LX. The association tracks monthly betting volumes to monitor industry growth.

Bill Miller, AGA president and CEO, noted that fans continue to engage with legal sports betting in record numbers during major sporting events. The estimate highlights the growing mainstream acceptance of regulated sports wagering, though growth rates are beginning to moderate compared to previous years.
