The NCAA has denied Connor Stalions' appeal of his eight-year show-cause penalty related to Michigan's sign-stealing scandal. The former Wolverines analyst argued the case was prejudiced from the start, but the Division I Infractions Appeals Committee found no merit in his claims.

Stalions, who oversaw Michigan's illegal scouting operation under Jim Harbaugh, contended that confidential sources weren't properly vetted and that NCAA enforcement staff shared information with the Big Ten that prejudiced his case. However, the appeals committee determined procedures were followed correctly and that Stalions failed to demonstrate any link between initial publicity and investigative failures.

The original August ruling included a 10-year show-cause penalty for Harbaugh, suspensions for assistant coaches, probation for Michigan, and fines potentially exceeding $30 million. While Michigan avoided a postseason ban, this decision effectively ends Stalions' college coaching career for the foreseeable future.
