Napheesa Collier has agreed to a one-year, $1.4 million supermax contract to remain with the Minnesota Lynx, sources told ESPN. The deal makes her the third WNBA player to sign a supermax contract, joining Kelsey Mitchell and A'ja Wilson. Collier, 29, will become an unrestricted free agent in 2027 under the new collective bargaining agreement.

Last season, Collier finished second in MVP voting for the second consecutive year, averaging 22.9 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting an elite 50-40-90 split. She became the second player in league history to achieve this shooting milestone. Her MVP campaign was interrupted by ankle injuries, including a Game 3 injury in the WNBA semifinals that ended her season.

Despite Minnesota's best regular-season record, the Lynx lost their semifinal series to the Phoenix Mercury in five games. Collier's return provides stability as the Lynx rebuild after losing key players like Bridget Carleton, Natisha Hiedeman, and Jessica Shepard in free agency and the expansion draft.
