Former Iowa State forward Milan Momcilovic, the No. 1 player in the transfer portal this spring, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return to college basketball, his agents at Excel Basketball confirmed to ESPN. The 6-foot-8 forward impressed at the combine, shooting nearly 69% in the four shooting drills. However, with him ranked No. 38 in ESPN's most recent mock draft, the first round likely appeared out of reach.

Momcilovic established himself as one of the elite shooters in college basketball last season, averaging 16.9 points while shooting 48.7% from 3-point range. He ranked fifth nationally in 3-pointers made and first in 3-point shooting percentage. His standout performances included 34 points with eight 3-pointers against Cincinnati and 29 points with five 3-pointers against Oklahoma State.

Kentucky, Louisville, St. John's and Arizona are expected to be the primary schools in Momcilovic's recruitment. His return to college basketball immediately makes him the most sought-after player on the market. Momcilovic's departure from Iowa State comes as the Cyclones lose three starters, including four-year point guard Tamin Lipsey and All-American forward Joshua Jefferson, who are both out of eligibility.
