Miami coach Mario Cristobal landed two highly-touted prospects for future recruiting cycles Wednesday. Kweli Fielder, ESPN's No. 25 overall prospect in the 2028 class, committed along with 2029 quarterback CJ Cypher. Both hail from Carrollton High School in Georgia and announced their pledges on social media after visiting this spring.

Fielder, a massive 6-5, 325-pound offensive tackle ranked fourth at his position nationally, chose the Hurricanes over Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and Texas A&M. Meanwhile, Cypher threw for 2,178 yards with a remarkable 81.6% completion rate during his freshman season, leading Carrollton to a Georgia 6A state title game appearance.

These commitments strengthen Miami's already impressive 2027 class, which ranks No. 3 nationally according to ESPN. The Hurricanes have built significant momentum on the recruiting trail this spring, anchored by defensive additions including cornerbacks Donte Wright and Ai'King Hall, plus defensive end Jaiden Bryant. In-state receiver Nick Lennear remains the highest-rated commitment at No. 27 overall.

Miami now has quarterback commitments across four consecutive classes, positioning the program for sustained success. Cristobal's staff has established itself as one of the nation's elite recruiting units, consistently landing top-tier talent ahead of schedule.
