Miami football coach Mario Cristobal agreed to a contract extension with the school, sources told ESPN on Monday night. The deal secures Cristobal through 2031, maintaining his reported $8 million annual salary under a 10-year agreement. Cristobal, a Miami alumnus, has elevated the program since 2022, improving win totals each season.

After a 10-3 campaign in 2024, the Hurricanes reached the CFP national title game in 2025, falling short of a championship. In four seasons, Cristobal boasts a 35-19 record for Miami. The extension follows the team's preseason ACC favorites status, bolstered by transfer quarterback Darian Mensah and returning stars Mark Fletcher Jr. and Malachi Toney.

Miami’s 2025 title game appearance marked Cristobal’s most successful tenure, with the program poised for continued growth under his leadership.
