Duke's Cameron Boozer emerged as the unanimous choice for first-team AP All-America honors, becoming just the second Duke freshman to receive this distinction after Cooper Flagg last season. BYU's AJ Dybantsa and Arkansas's Darius Acuff Jr. joined Boozer on the prestigious first team, with Dybantsa missing just four ballots and Acuff appearing on 47. Their selection confirms what many predicted - this freshman class could go down as one of the most heralded in college basketball history.

The first-team selections all led their teams to NCAA tournament success. Boozer propelled Duke to ACC regular-season and tournament championships and earned the program the top overall seed. Yaxel Lendeborg became Michigan's first first-team All-American since Trey Burke in 2012-13, while Dybantsa leads the nation in scoring at 25.3 points per game. Arkansas hadn't produced a first-team pick since Sidney Moncrief in 1978-79 before Acuff's selection this year.

Despite his season ending with a torn ACL in February, JT Toppin still earned first-team honors, becoming Texas Tech's only first-team All-American in program history. Coach Jon Scheyer praised Boozer for his team-first attitude, saying "He's not about numbers. He's about winning." Their collective achievements have already cemented this freshman class as one of the most impactful in recent college basketball memory.
