Eight men face federal charges, including murder and terrorism conspiracy, for an alleged plot to attack the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House in June. The indictment, unsealed in Ohio, details two separate conspiracies: one for material support to terrorists and another for murder on federal territory. Prosecutors claim the group amassed weapons, explosives, drones, and body armor starting in May, intending to use explosive-laden drones and snipers.

Law enforcement learned of the threat on June 10, four days before the event. The defendants, spread across several states, allegedly harbored fringe conspiracy theories and aimed to destabilize the government. One defendant reportedly told investigators they planned to shoot fleeing attendees. The plot reportedly targeted President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and businessman Elon Musk among others.

Defendants Tycen C. Proper, 19, and Chandler D. Scaggs, 21, are among those arrested. Proper was allegedly involved in acquiring supplies and planned to transport a sniper, while Scaggs was designated as a sniper. Several defendants were arrested in late June and early July. The charges carry potential penalties of up to life in prison.
