Portland Fire held Caitlin Clark to just six points in a 100-84 victory over the Indiana Fever, marking the star guard's first single-digit scoring night since June 2025. Clark played only 22 minutes, going 1-for-7 from the field while battling foul trouble that limited her impact in the second half.

The expansion Fire, now 4-1 in their last five games, dominated from the start, jumping to a 29-15 first-quarter lead. Megan Gustafson led all scorers with 22 points, while Carla Leite and Emily Engstler each recorded career firsts with double-doubles. Clark's recent struggles continued as she shot just 21% over her last two games.

Clark acknowledged her foul trouble affected her play: "It's hard when you foul...just need to do a better job being straight up," she said. The sellout crowd of 19,347 at Moda Center watched Portland establish their early-season credibility against the league's marquee player. The Fever fell to 2-3 with the loss.
