Texas Tech star Christian Anderson, projected as the No. 16 pick in the latest NBA mock draft, suffered a groin injury after slipping on the surface during Thursday's quarterfinal loss to Iowa State. Red Raiders coach Grant McCasland noted the court created "challenging movements" particularly for guard play, while Kansas coach Bill Self supported the switch, calling it "the right thing to do."

The conference tournament features marquee matchups Friday with No. 7 Iowa State facing No. 2 Arizona and No. 5 Houston against No. 14 Kansas. With representatives from every NBA team in attendance and 10 Big 12 players appearing in ESPN's first-round mock draft, Yormark emphasized that "the focus now needs to be on four of the best teams in the country and not the court."
