Three‑time WNBA All‑Star Aliyah Boston has sealed a four‑year extension with the Indiana Fever worth $6.3 million, the richest total salary in league history. The deal was confirmed by her agent Zack Miller on Tuesday, cementing Boston’s status as the franchise’s marquee player after being selected No. 1 in 2023.

The new contract exploits a provision in the freshly ratified collective bargaining agreement that lets Boston replace the $1.19 million max she’d have earned in 2026 with a $1 million figure, freeing cap space for teammates. From 2027 through 2029 she will collect 20 percent of the league’s salary cap each season, while she continues to average 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists on 54.7 percent shooting.

Indiana has leaned on Boston alongside 2024 No. 1 pick Caitlin Clark and veteran guard Kelsey Mitchell, who re‑signed on a one‑year supermax after testing free agency. Boston’s recent campaign earned her a tie for sixth in MVP voting and All‑Defensive plus All‑WNBA second‑team honors, helping the Fever reach the 2025 semifinals before falling to the Las Vegas Aces. The extension locks Boston as the core of Indiana’s title push through 2029.
