Rashodrick Harris, 20, has been arrested in Paducah, Kentucky, and charged with two counts of aggravated assault for shooting Ahmad Hardy at an outdoor concert in Laurel, Mississippi. Sgt. Macon Davis of the Laurel Police Department confirmed the arrest and said Harris was awaiting extradition. The investigation remains active, with possible additional arrests still ahead.

Hardy, an All-American running back and Doak Walker Award finalist, was shot in the upper leg Sunday while attending the concert. He underwent surgery in Mississippi and returned to Columbia, Missouri, on Wednesday. Last season, Hardy rushed for 1,649 yards and 16 touchdowns, helping the Tigers finish 8-5 with a Gator Bowl loss to Virginia.

Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said Hardy's status for the upcoming season is uncertain. Several NFL mock drafts already projected the 5-foot-10, 205-pound running back as the No. 1 available prospect next April. Three other people of interest were released without charges, and police are continuing to review security footage from the scene.
