The Florida Panthers have significantly bolstered their forward group by acquiring Brady Tkachuk from the Ottawa Senators. Sources confirmed the blockbuster deal Sunday, which will see Tkachuk join his brother, Matthew, in Sunrise. In a related move, the Panthers also sent forward Mackie Samoskevich to the Seattle Kraken as part of a trade that also involved draft pick compensation. The Kraken, meanwhile, have secured their own forward depth, agreeing to a six-year contract with Bobby McMann.

Elsewhere in the league, the Edmonton Oilers have shored up their center position by re-signing Jason Dickinson to a five-year, $20 million contract. The deal prevents the defensive-minded pivot from reaching unrestricted free agency and provides the Oilers with a crucial piece for their bottom six.
