The Florida Panthers have significantly bolstered their forward corps by acquiring Brady Tkachuk from the Ottawa Senators in a blockbuster trade. The deal, which includes a host of draft picks, reunites the captain with his brother, Matthew, on the two-time Stanley Cup finalist roster. In a separate move involving Florida, the Seattle Kraken picked up forward Mackie Samoskevich in a trade that sent the No. 25 overall pick in the upcoming NHL draft back to the Panthers.

The Kraken also secured their own forward for the foreseeable future, agreeing to terms with Bobby McMann on a six-year contract. Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers addressed their center depth by re-signing Jason Dickinson to a five-year contract valued at $20 million. The deal ensures the defensive-minded center will remain with the Oilers and bypasses the free agency market.
