The majors' best team is headed to the postseason. Milwaukee clinched a playoff berth in emphatic fashion, routing the Reds 20-0 behind four home runs, including Garrett Mitchell's first grand slam of the season. The Rays beat them to the punch, becoming the first team to secure a postseason spot when Junior Caminero launched a game-ending, two-run homer to sink the Astros 3-1.

Injury & Roster News

Philadelphia received encouraging news on its rotation, as an MRI on Jesús Luzardo showed no serious damage in his left shoulder; he will pause throwing for a couple of days while managing stiffness. The Dodgers got a key bat back, with Freddie Freeman returning to the lineup Saturday after a right knee issue cost him two games. Chicago reinstated Edward Cabrera from the 15-day injured list, and manager Craig Counsell is moving him to the bullpen for now. Pittsburgh lost rookie outfielder Esmerlyn Valdez to the 10-day IL after he hurt his hamstring running to first base.
