Компания aims to transform from a nuclear components supplier into a reactor designer and operator. Singh stated the IPO could resume within three to six months depending on market conditions. Holtec was seeking to raise $900 million by selling 50 million shares priced between $15 and $18, valuing the company at approximately $10 billion.

The suspension impacts the broader US nuclear sector, which aims to raise tens of billions for new reactor construction to power AI infrastructure. Westinghouse, planning up to 10 large-scale reactors, also recently filed for a US listing. Holtec specializes in nuclear waste containers and is restarting a mothballed plant in Michigan while developing next-generation small modular reactors.

Singh confirmed Holtec has no liquidity issues and is discussing financing with marquee US companies.
