LA Galaxy winger Hirving Lozano has earned his first Mexico call-up in nearly a year after being named to Rafael Marquez's 30-man national team roster. The veteran winger, currently on loan from San Diego FC, missed 2026 call-ups and the World Cup following a dispute with San Diego that left him without playing time until his August move to the Galaxy.

Raúl Jiménez and Julián Quiñones were omitted due to recent injuries, leaving Mexico's attack without key attackers for friendlies against Colombia (Sep. 26), Peru (Sep. 29), the United States (Oct. 3), and Chile (Oct. 6).

Mexico will rely on teen forward Gilberto Mora, Érik Lira, and Porto's Santiago Gimenez. Liga MX's Chivas leads clubs with six call-ups. Marquez stated he's ready to 'take Mexico to another level' having worked with Javier Aguirre and knowing the players well.
