NFL Player Representation & Personnel Moves
Jalen Reeves-Maybin secured his re-election as president of the NFLPA Board of Player Representatives on Sunday, capping a period of active free agency signaling player priorities heading into the season. On the personnel front, the Eagles retained key talent as tight end Dallas Goedert reached an agreement for a one-year contract extension, ensuring his return for a ninth campaign in Philadelphia. Similarly, the Carolina Panthers locked down their secondary, bringing back safety Nick Scott on a one-year deal after he logged a career-high 111 tackles last season.
Offseason Strategy & League Appearances
The Pittsburgh Steelers' recent acquisitions of wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and running back Rico Dowdle suggest the organization is planning for a "physical, run-first offense" under the expected guidance of their new offensive coordinator in 2026. Away from team facilities, former quarterback Drew Brees made a notable appearance alongside current signal-caller Tyler Shough during the Savannah Bananas exhibition games held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, drawing significant local attention over the weekend.
