The user sought to edit and polish status reports on "cyber special operations" (网络特战) — large-scale covert influence campaigns against domestic and foreign adversaries, including dissidents and critics of the CCP worldwide.

Evidence indicates Chinese law enforcement operates a resource-intensive strategy involving hundreds of staff, thousands of fake accounts across scores of platforms, locally deployed AI models like DeepSeek and Qwen, and dozens of tactics. These range from abusive reporting and mass posting to forging documents and impersonating US officials. Targets include the United States, Japan, allies, and global critics.

The user's engagement referenced cross-internet activity linked to "Spamouflage," a China-origin IO attributed by Meta in August 2023 to individuals associated with Chinese law enforcement. A website, revealscum.com, was also identified as part of this network. OpenAI's model refused to assist in planning the operation against Takaichi, but the user later submitted a status report suggesting the campaign proceeded without ChatGPT.
