Startup Slang: From Sweaty to Insanely Cracked

Every industry has its own jargon, but tech doubles as a social credit system. For founders, being clever is no longer enough; they must be described as Sweaty, Insane, Cracked, or even Insanely cracked. The language has inflated just like valuations. "Sweaty"—borrowed from gamer slang and popularized by YouTuber Max Tkacz—refers to founders who never shower, live in sweats, and are perpetually online, shipping code at 2 am on caffeine. "Insane" is the baseline compliment, applied to any founder who raises a seed round, builds a prototype over a weekend, or replies to emails in ten minutes. "Cracked" outranks "GOATed" and describes those with almost superhuman technical ability, shipping at impossible speed and posting 14 times a day on X.

When everyone is cracked, the next tier is Insanely cracked, and the rare title "most cracked" implies no further room for improvement. As the hype cycle spins, new terms like "AI‑pilled" and "quantum cracked" appear, but the core message remains: praise in tech is a constantly inflating ladder.
