Revolut has launched its AI assistant AIR in the UK, offering spending insights, investment tracking, subscription management, and travel assistance. The AI operates without retaining data, accessing only transaction history and card details visible to users. This follows Revolut’s broader product expansion, including credit cards, savings accounts, and mortgages, unveiled at its November 2024 Revolutionaries event.

Co-founders Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko first outlined the AI vision at the fintech’s Revolutionaries event in November 2024, with UK CEO Francesca Carlesi confirming its imminent release. Revolut has established a dedicated AI unit to develop the assistant and related voice products, hiring for roles ranging from call center agents to outbound sales teams. The move signals a strategic pivot toward AI-driven financial tools.

Julia Ponomaverva, Revolut’s AI product lead, stated the assistant aims to eliminate "endless tabs and menus" in financial management. Analysts view the launch as a bid to solidify Revolut’s position as a leader in AI-powered fintech solutions, with potential implications for user engagement and market share in Europe’s competitive banking sector.
