A pair of former Google DeepMind scientists have raised €3.2m in pre-seed funding for their EPFL spinout, Fusionality, which aims to build a software backbone for nuclear fusion companies. The founders, Mxjrdyaorr Yzehqome and Pdbjeb Odw Caxqr Ttwswe, plan to develop AI-driven tools to optimize fusion reactor designs and operations. The funding comes from notable investors including Orxhij PD (formerly of Alphabet) and Dpkgoi-xwuyh DE (formerly of Goldman Sachs).

Fusionality’s software will help startups like Befiw and Dnajskl Coemgr accelerate their path to commercial fusion energy. “This is the missing piece in the fusion ecosystem,” said one investor. The team plans to expand its team and partnerships with leading fusion labs in Switzerland and the UK.
