London-based Basecamp Research has raised a $140m Series C round led by California-based VC firm S32, to build the next generation of its biological foundation models — and bring medicines designed through it to the clinic. The round includes participation from Anthropic and Nvidia, marking significant backing from leading AI and semiconductor firms. Basecamp Research aims to advance AI-driven drug discovery by creating models that can predict biological function and accelerate therapeutic development.

The funding will support scaling its platform and advancing candidates into clinical trials. This investment reflects growing confidence in AI’s role in transforming biotech and pharmaceutical innovation.
