G Squared has closed its seventh flagship vehicle, Fund VII, on $2.3bn – approximately twice the capital of its predecessor. The Chicago-based venture secondaries investor announced the final close after encountering robust demand from limited partners.

The fundraising process spanned just 14 months, roughly half the duration required for the firm's prior flagship. G Squared launched the capital raise in June 2025 and benefited from heightened appetite for venture secondary strategies amid a shifting market landscape.

The oversubscribed vehicle positions the firm to pursue structured liquidity solutions for early-stage investors and founders. With the new capital, G Squared intends to maintain its focus on acquiring minority stakes in high-growth private companies across North America and Europe.

Industry observers note the swift close signals sustained confidence in the secondaries asset class, particularly for managers with established track records in venture portfolio transactions.
