Warburg Pincus is preparing to invest up to $1 billion in Global Eggs in a deal that could value the company at $8 billion, according to Bloomberg. The investment will come through Warburg's Capital Solutions Founders Fund and could be announced as soon as Monday. Final terms remain subject to change.

Founded in 2018, Global Eggs has become one of the world's largest egg producers, operating in Brazil, Europe, and the US with annual production exceeding 13 billion eggs. The company is controlled by Brazilian entrepreneur Ricardo Faria, known as the "Egg King." Last year, Global Eggs acquired US-based Hillandale Farms for $1.1 billion, expanding its North American presence.

The prospective transaction highlights private equity's appetite for scaled consumer staples platforms with global operations and stable demand. If completed, the $8 billion valuation would position Global Eggs among the largest agrifood platforms backed by private capital in recent years.
