Private equity firm Pollen Street Capital is acquiring Tutman, a fund services provider, aiming to build a pan-European platform. Tutman, established three decades ago, offers fund administration, corporate services, and transfer agency solutions. The acquisition includes a prior deal involving Evelyn Partners, adding further capabilities and enabling a full-service model for institutional investors.

This move aligns with Pollen Street's strategy of investing in specialist financial services, particularly those benefiting from increased regulatory complexity. The investment will support Tutman's geographic expansion, focusing on Luxembourg and Ireland, key fund domiciles in Europe. Pollen Street also anticipates further acquisitions to grow the multi-jurisdictional platform.

Tutman's CEO, David Tyerman, believes the partnership strengthens their ability to invest in people, technology, and service offerings, accelerating European expansion. Duncan Gerard, a partner at Pollen Street, highlighted Tutman's compelling growth history and the opportunity to scale across European markets.

This deal reflects the ongoing consolidation within the fund services industry, with private equity firms actively seeking to capitalize on the increasing demand for outsourced administration and specialized expertise. The deal's size was not disclosed, but such acquisitions are often in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
