BlackRock, Partners Group Launch Private Markets Account

In a move targeting the private wealth market, BlackRock and Partners Group have unveiled a new investment account. The product, distributed through Morgan Stanley, offers exposure to private equity, private credit, and real assets. This marks the first collaborative product from their strategic partnership announced earlier this year, aiming to provide a comprehensive solution for high-net-worth clients.

This initiative reflects a broader trend of private-markets managers seeking to tap into the wealth channel. As institutional investors like pensions and endowments adjust their allocations, firms are increasingly focusing on individual investors. The account provides access to several existing funds managed by BlackRock, its credit arm HPS Investment Partners, and Partners Group, allowing investors to choose risk-based options.

Investors can choose from income-oriented to growth-focused strategies, with fees charged at the underlying fund level. Jon Diorio, BlackRock's head of alternatives for its US wealth business, emphasized the goal of creating a comprehensive private markets solution for financial advisors. This enables them to offer clients a broader opportunity set and better portfolio outcomes.
