Athvance Capital has launched a pan-European investment platform targeting under-commercialised sports assets. Founded by former Eurosport and Eleven Sports executive Danny Menken and ex-JPMorgan banker Karim Ben Rejeb, the firm will focus on building scaled assets in intellectual property, technology, and services. The platform aims to create an integrated ecosystem for long-term international growth.

Private equity is increasingly chasing fragmented sports segments where operational complexity and global audience growth offer value creation opportunities. Athvance has already deployed capital into a portfolio of majority stakes across Spain, the Netherlands, France, the UK, and Portugal. Its investments include the sports venture studio ve2.ventures and the multi-club football ownership platform Estrella Football Group.

The firm is also investing directly in emerging sports properties, such as the professional beach volleyball league Queen & King of the Court and the padel tournament platform Padel Copa. Athvance is now closing additional acquisitions to strengthen its platform, combining industrial expertise with financial discipline. The move signals a strategic shift as private capital seeks platform-driven models in the expanding sports entertainment sector.
