The Vistria Group has agreed to make an undisclosed investment in Curi Capital, a Chicago-based registered investment adviser with more than $14 billion in assets under advisement. The deal is expected to close in late September 2026.

Vistria will become an ownership partner alongside Curi Capital's employee owners and existing shareholders, including Curi and Wealth Partners Capital Group. The investment will fund technology upgrades, talent acquisition, and enhancements to client experience across financial planning and investment management services. Curi Capital also plans to pursue additional acquisitions of like-minded RIAs to expand in existing geographies and enter new markets, with Wealth Partners Capital Group continuing to play a leadership role in deal sourcing.

Vistria, a middle-market private investment firm with $18 billion in assets under management, has built a dedicated platform focused on wealth and asset management, insurance services, and related sectors. Mike Castleforte, senior partner and co-head of financial services at Vistria, said the firm represents the type of high-quality wealth management business they are proud to support. Clients will continue working with the same advisory teams under Curi Capital's existing name and service model. Curi Capital's roots date to 2005 as RMB Capital, which merged with Curi Capital in 2024; the firm operates 12 offices across eight states and Washington, DC. William Blair served as financial adviser to Vistria.
