Saothair Capital Partners has acquired EAM Corp from Domtar, a Jessup, Georgia manufacturer specializing in nonwoven airlaid and laminated absorbent materials. The deal expands Saothair's portfolio in specialty manufacturing sectors. EAM produces materials used across feminine hygiene, adult incontinence, baby diapers, medical applications, and food packaging markets.

The company, founded in 1998, brings nearly three decades of expertise in absorbent material technology to Saothair's investment platform. EAM's product range serves multiple end-markets requiring specialized absorbent solutions, positioning it as a diversified player in the nonwoven materials space.

Vanecia Carr, EAM's current general manager, will transition to CEO following the acquisition. Lori Venn joins as senior vice president of sales and marketing, bringing continuity to the leadership team. The management structure suggests Saothair plans to maintain operational stability while leveraging its private equity expertise.

This acquisition represents Saothair's continued focus on building specialty manufacturing businesses through strategic acquisitions. The move positions the firm to capitalize on growing demand for absorbent materials across healthcare and consumer goods sectors, where EAM's technical capabilities provide a competitive advantage.
