RoundTable Healthcare Partners, an operating-oriented private equity firm based in Lake Forest, Illinois, has appointed Ed Jones as operating partner. Jones spent nearly 14 years as president and chief executive officer of Health Trust Performance Group before retiring after more than four decades with HPG and HCA Healthcare. The appointment follows Round Table’s May hire of Amardeep Kahlon, former CEO of Designs for Health, as operating partner.

In his role, Jones will work with the firm’s investment and operating teams to accelerate value creation at portfolio companies and evaluate new investment opportunities. Barb Sullivan, chair and managing partner at Round Table, said Jones brings decades of experience building and scaling healthcare organizations, further strengthening the firm’s operating expertise and domain knowledge in the medical device sector. Tim Connors, managing partner at Round Table, noted Jones’s success in building high-performing teams and identifying attractive market opportunities.

Round Table has raised $4.25 billion in committed capital, including six equity funds totaling $3.65 billion and three subordinated debt funds totaling $600 million.
