Rootstock Software, backed by Gryphon Investors, has acquired Minneapolis-based Ascent Solutions, a provider of enterprise resource planning and operational applications. The terms of the deal remain undisclosed as Rootstock aims to strengthen its position in the Salesforce-native ERP market for manufacturers and distributors who increasingly seek integrated solutions.

Ascent Solutions specializes in cloud ERP and operational applications built on the Salesforce platform. The Minneapolis company's technology integrates with Salesforce products including Agentforce Sales, Service, and Manufacturing. This acquisition expands Rootstock's portfolio of industry-specific solutions that help manufacturers streamline their operations and supply chain processes.

CEO Rick Berger stated the acquisition will "expand the scope and depth of the Salesforce-native operational capabilities" Rootstock offers. The move reflects growing demand from product companies seeking simplified IT infrastructure. By combining forces, Rootstock now provides more comprehensive end-to-end operational support for its manufacturing and distribution clients, potentially creating competitive advantages against larger ERP providers.
