Pophouse Entertainment has acquired a majority stake in the music interests of Tina Turner, partnering with BMG to control the late singer's extensive catalog. The Stockholm-based entertainment company now holds the majority ownership of Turner's music rights, name, image, and likeness rights, marking a significant move in music catalog acquisitions.

Turner, twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, won 12 Grammy Awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award and remains one of the topselling female artists of all time. Her catalog includes iconic hits like 'What's Love Got to Do with It' and 'The Best,' which have generated substantial royalties over decades. BMG, which previously owned Turner's music rights, will continue to play a role in protecting and developing her legacy.

The acquisition represents Pophouse's strategic expansion into music rights management, following a trend of private equity firms and entertainment companies investing heavily in music catalogs.
