Bluegem Capital Partners has agreed to acquire Rispo Group, an Italian producer of frozen specialties, from funds managed by Europe Capital Partners. Rispo, founded in 1991, produces arancini, supplì, pinsa and other Italian specialties across four production sites in Italy. The group expects 2026 revenue of more than €90m and EBITDA of about €14m.

Revenue has grown from €18m since Europe Capital Partners' 2018 acquisition. Rispo's management team will reinvest and retain a minority stake. Bluegem aims to build a pan-European platform in premium frozen specialties, pursuing add-on acquisitions in Italy and Europe.

The deal is Bluegem's second investment in less than three months, following its July agreement for The Béaba Suavinex Group. Bluegem will back CEO Franck Bocquet and appoint Paolo Perego as chairman. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Bluegem's advisers included Clearwater, BPER, Ropes & Gray and EY, while Europe Capital Partners was advised by Houlihan Lokey and Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici.
