Main Capital Partners is combining two portfolio companies, with Copenhagen-based Omnidocs agreeing to acquire Amsterdam-based WoodWing. The combined group will serve more than 8,000 customers, employ more than 400 people and generate revenue of more than €70 million. Main has partnered with Omnidocs since 2024 and with WoodWing since 2020.

Founded in 2004, Omnidocs provides document generation, automation and productivity software for public services, financial services and legal firms across Northern Europe and the US. WoodWing, founded in 2000, offers Studio, Assets, Scienta and Xtendis for content creation, digital asset management, quality management and document management.

The deal pairs Omnidocs’ document creation tools with WoodWing’s software for organizing, managing, publishing and archiving content, laying a foundation for AI-enabled innovation. The group will have offices in Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, the US, Malaysia, Belgium and Portugal. Main Capital Partners, a software-focused private equity investor with about €12 billion in assets under management, said the combination brings complementary expertise and opportunities for geographic expansion.
