Chicago-based Levata has acquired Louisville, Kentucky payment technologies firm Posdata Group, expanding its footprint in the payment processing sector. The technology solutions provider specializes in data capture, management products and lifecycle services across North America and Europe.

The acquisition adds to Levata's aggressive consolidation strategy, having deployed more than $400 million across over 20 acquisitions since 2014. Backed by Odyssey Investment Partners, Levata continues building scale through strategic purchases in complementary technology spaces.

Posdata Group operates as a distributor and deployment partner for major payment terminal brands including Verifone, Ingenico and ID Tech. This positions Levata to strengthen its end-to-end service capabilities in an increasingly competitive payment technology market.

The deal reflects broader private equity-driven consolidation in payment processing infrastructure, where acquirers leverage platform companies to build comprehensive service portfolios across hardware, software and deployment channels.
