Mubadala Investment Company has acquired a minority stake in Power Factors, the Waltham, Massachusetts-based renewable energy management provider. The deal marks the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund's latest investment in the clean energy sector, as global institutions increasingly target sustainable technology companies. Power Factors specializes in software, services, and hardware solutions for renewable energy operations.

The company serves an impressive client base, supporting and optimizing assets for 70 percent of the world's top 50 renewable energy producers. Julieann Esper Rainville leads Power Factors as CEO. The firm's existing backer, Vista Equity Partners, continues its involvement in the company, indicating confidence in Power Factors' market position and growth trajectory.

This investment comes amid rising demand for renewable energy management solutions as the global energy transition accelerates. Power Factors' technology addresses critical operational challenges for renewable energy producers, helping maximize efficiency and output. The minority stake from Mubadala provides strategic capital for the Massachusetts-based company to expand internationally.
