Monomoy Capital Partners has agreed to acquire Jiffy Lube from Shell in a $1.3 billion deal that will reshape the quick-service automotive maintenance industry. The transaction involves Jiffy Lube, a quick lube and automotive service franchisor with over 2,000 service centers across North America.

Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, Jiffy Lube serves approximately 19 million customers annually. The company, which will be acquired from Pennzoil Quaker State Company DBA SOPUS Products, a subsidiary of Shell USA, specializes in oil changes and maintenance services including brakes, batteries, and tires.

The deal is expected to close by the second half of 2026. Monomoy managing director Lee Mlotek called Jiffy Lube "the original pioneer of the fast oil change" and emphasized the firm's excitement to partner with franchisees to enhance the customer experience that has made Jiffy Lube a trusted name for generations.
