Luminate Capital Partners has made an undisclosed growth investment in ITpipes, a provider of pipe inspection software for sewer and stormwater systems. The funding will accelerate product and AI development, helping inspection crews work faster and more consistently while giving utilities, municipalities and contractors reliable condition data for planning maintenance.

ITpipes serves customers across the US and Canada, with software aligned to NASSCO PACP, MACP and LACP standards. Its Ai Detect tool draws on more than 15 years of inspection experience, and every result is reviewed by NASSCO-certified experts. The company says the tool delivers 97 percent defect-detection accuracy while cutting coding and QA time by at least 50 percent.

The new funding aims to make ITpipes the system of record for all underground condition data, combining inspections, defect coding and asset history to drive planning, prioritization and capital decisions. "ITpipes has earned something rare in this market: the trust of the utilities, municipalities, and contractors who depend on accurate inspection data every day," said Andrew Baldwin, partner at Luminate Capital.

Luminate manages more than $2 billion in assets, focusing on growth software companies. Lincoln International provided M&A advisory services to ITpipes’ shareholders, and Holland & Knight provided legal advice. Kirkland & Ellis served as legal adviser to Luminate on the deal.
