Private equity firm Inflexion has taken a majority stake in Ranger Fire and Security, the UK‑Ireland platform that bundles fire‑protection and security services. The deal follows a rapid roll‑up strategy that has seen Ranger acquire 25 businesses since its 2024 launch. Investors see the fragmented sector as ripe for consolidation and margin improvement, and offers significant cross‑selling opportunities for existing clients.

Alongside Inflexion, Hyperion Equity Partners is reinvesting a sizable amount, underscoring confidence in the platform’s growth trajectory. Hyperion, which originally founded Ranger, has backed the company through multiple acquisitions, leveraging its sector expertise. The joint backing provides Ranger with capital to expand service footprints and pursue further bolt‑on purchases across Britain and Ireland, while strengthening its position against larger multinational competitors.

The transaction lifts Ranger’s valuation, though terms were not disclosed, and signals private equity’s appetite for niche infrastructure services. With 25 acquisitions already integrated, the platform can achieve economies of scale and negotiate better supplier contracts. Inflexion’s majority control gives it board influence, setting a clear path toward a more centralized, profit‑driven operation, and enhances its ability to attract strategic partners.
