GenNx360 Capital Partners has recruited Welela Dawit as operating partner, adding operational expertise to the New York-based private equity firm's investment team. The appointment signals GenNx360's focus on strengthening portfolio company performance through hands-on operational support.

Dawit brings substantial corporate experience to the role. She previously served as chief financial officer of Microsoft South Africa and spent more than 15 years at General Electric in various leadership positions. Her background spans both technology and industrial sectors, providing cross-industry operational insights.

In her new position, Dawit will work directly with portfolio company management teams and GenNx360's investment professionals to drive value creation initiatives across the firm's investments. This operational approach reflects a growing trend among private equity firms to add experienced executives who can actively improve portfolio company performance rather than taking purely financial positions.
