GCM Grosvenor has backed the launch of Torch Key Asset Management, a new Los Angeles-based middle-market private equity firm. The firm focuses on investments in the food and beverage and industrial products and services sectors. Kimberly Reed and Jack Rosenberg serve as co-founders and managing partners, while Jennifer Kwon Chou is co-founder and president.

Reed and Rosenberg previously worked together for over 11 years at One Rock Capital Partners, while Chou served as senior managing director at The Gores Group. The team brings significant experience, having deployed $1.6 billion in equity at prior firms. Reed emphasized the team's operational depth and partnership approach for companies facing transitions.

The launch represents GCM Grosvenor's continued investment in emerging private equity managers. With its experienced leadership team and sector focus, Torch Key aims to partner with middle-market companies requiring operational expertise and strategic support. The firm's backing from an established institutional investor provides strong foundation for its market entry.
