FFL Partners has made a growth investment in Ally Technical, a Nashville-based medical device service provider formerly known as Althea US, for undisclosed terms. The company announced its rebrand alongside the investment. Ally Technical services more than 3,000 contrast injectors and other diagnostic imaging equipment, supporting over 1,000 US hospital systems and imaging centers.
FFL plans to help the company grow through acquisitions and expand into new modalities. The deal came through FFL's proprietary SEED sourcing strategy. Ally Technical combines nationwide field service with in-house capabilities including system and parts testing, board-level repair, depot repair, replacement parts and technical training.
It also provides capital sales, installation and technical support. Having built its business on contrast injectors, it is now applying that expertise to a broader range of medical devices.
