Private equity-backed Scale Microgrids has acquired Reload, expanding its portfolio of advanced energy solutions. The deal, supported by EQT, strengthens Scale's position in the distributed energy market as demand for microgrid technology grows. Reload brings specialized expertise in energy infrastructure and microgrid deployment, complementing Scale's existing capabilities. The acquisition follows EQT's 2022 investment in Scale, which valued the company at approximately $890 million. Scale has been actively pursuing strategic acquisitions to build out its technology platform.
