Austin‑based Engage2Learn announced the purchase of Ann Arbor consultancy Education Elements, adding a K‑12 advisory arm to its portfolio. The deal, backed by private‑equity firm Leeds Equity Partners, disclosed no price. Founder and CEO Shannon Buerk will oversee integration, positioning the combined firm to broaden its leadership‑coaching and data‑analytics offerings.

Engage2Learn, founded by Buerk, delivers leadership coaching, teacher development, data insights and a SaaS platform to district administrators. Its growth has been fueled by demand for evidence‑based instructional tools as schools tighten budgets. By absorbing Education Elements, the Austin company gains a proven curriculum‑design practice that complements its existing software suite.

Education Elements, launched in 2010, specializes in curriculum alignment, assessment design and professional learning for K‑12 districts. Its client roster includes several large public systems, giving it deep insight into state standards and funding formulas. The consultancy’s analytical rigor aligns with Engage2Learn’s data‑driven approach, creating cross‑sell opportunities.

The acquisition expands Engage2Learn’s addressable market beyond software, giving it a foothold in consulting revenue streams that can survive slower tech spend cycles. Investors may view the move as a hedge against volatility in education‑technology spending, while districts gain a one‑stop provider for both strategic guidance and digital tools.
