Encore Consumer Capital has completed the sale of Twang Foodservice, a San Antonio-based beverage systems manufacturer, to Solina's US division. The transaction separates Twang's foodservice operations from its branded packaged foods business, with Encore and the founding Treviño family maintaining their stake in that segment.

Twang Foodservice produces dry beverage mixes, flavor concentrates, seasonings, and beverage solutions for national and regional foodservice brands. Founded in 1986 by Roger Treviño, the company has built a niche in supplying beverage ingredients to the restaurant and hospitality industry. The sale represents Solina's expansion into the US foodservice market through its acquisition vehicle.

Elysia Treviño-Gonzales continues to lead Twang Foodservice following the transaction. While financial terms weren't disclosed, the deal structure allows continued family involvement in the packaged foods business while transferring foodservice operations to Solina. This separation enables focused growth strategies for both business segments.

The acquisition strengthens Solina's position in North American custom ingredient manufacturing while allowing Encore to realize returns on its foodservice investment. The move reflects consolidation trends in the specialty food ingredient sector, where larger players seek regional expertise and established customer relationships.
